Communities Matter is a growing initiative dedicated to exploring practical ideas that help people, businesses, and communities thrive.

We believe Alberta's smaller communities represent one of our province's greatest and most underappreciated resources. Many offer affordable housing, strong local leadership, excellent recreation and lifestyle opportunities, underused infrastructure, and a quality of life that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in larger urban centres.

Our mission is to bring together ideas, organizations, businesses, community leaders, families, entrepreneurs, and active retirees to explore opportunities for housing, economic development, entrepreneurship, infrastructure innovation, active retirement, and long-term community prosperity.
